About

Afronomicslaw focuses on international economic law and public international law themes as they relate to Africa and the Global South. A major goal of Afronomicslaw is to amplify the voices and issues that are not often part of the conversation in the scholarship and practice in these areas.

It meets these objectives by offering scholars, policy makers, practitioners and others interested in these issues a forum to insightfully reflect on them. The blog is therefore home to the growing and important voice of scholars and practitioners interested in public international and international economic law as they relate to Africa in particular, and to the Global South, (including but not limited to Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, the South Pacific, the Middle East and Asia), in general.

Afronomicslaw.org currently hosts the following initiatives: the African Sovereign Debt Justice Network (AfSDJN); the African Journal of International Economic Law (AfJIEL); individual blog posts as well as thematic symposia; Book Review Symposium; Indaba (important conversations); Webinars; and the Academic Forum. We invite you to explore these and more on our website.
